		<description>For Amazon to be down at all, ever, is a big deal.  There is no &quot;middle of the day&quot; for a company that sells worldwide at $8.49B [1] revenue.

That&#039;s $270ish per second.  Not to mention the confidence lost in people developing against their web services, which I think (but am not certain) were also affected.
