This looks like a freshly minted startup from downtown Boston. Online radio site UNregular Radio is looking for people to create and host their own online shows. This startup appears to be a bit like BlogTalkRadio.com but with an open format looking for comedy, music and other types shows. However, unlike BlogTalkRadio.com, the site is starting local and looking specifically for Boston area focused shows. This is how they describe the site.
“Unregularradio.com (currently in open beta) is a full social networking site and streaming radio station geared towards the local Boston area scene. We want the station to complement the site by offering local people showcasing local music, events and talents.”
The site built on the Joomla platform is a bit rough around the edges but bringing local user-generated content together with the opportunity to get in at the ground floor could be exciting for the right people. You also get the chance to hang out in the very cool looking Sanctum Studios.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for checking out the site. We will be up and running at full speed early fall and we hope you are listening then. The station format would be best described as a college radio type format with the DJs having full creative control over their show content.
If you are interested in getting your word out we could give you some airtime to talk about your site and the different scenes you cover. Could be through prerecorded material you send or you could come into our studios in South Station. Something like 15 minutes would even be fine or a bunch of 2-3 minute “rundowns” that will direct people to your site for more details. I like the site, it is a great local view of the area happenings pertaining to tech and marketing. It would fall in line with our local-based programming.
