It’s Web 2.0 Event Season…on The West Coast

mashable

Can you tell where the action is in an industry by where the notable events are being held? I was checking out the upcoming web 2.0 event listings published today on Mashable and noticed (with one exception) that all of the events are being held 3,000 miles away.

Here is a condensed version of the list (minus a few) – you can check out the full list on Mashable.

Where are the big web events in the Boston area?

Hi David-

I’d suggest that WebInno is a pretty good Web event happening regularly here in Boston…and (plug alert) in the late 1990s, when we started to have the feeling that *all* of the important Internet conferences were on the West Coast, a group of Boston entrepreneurs and investors started the annual Nantucket Conference, which has had execs speak over the years from East and West ….

Scott – how could I forget WebInno! – I have not been to the Nantucket Conference but would love to go…not just because it is on Nantucket. =)

There’s Mobile Monday Boston – http://www.momoboston.com/

We’re more mobile than web, but we have open and free monthly events in Boston. The next one is on 5/5 about Mobile Advertising at the Liberty Hotel.

I agree that TechVenue.com has the most comprehensive menu of choices.
