Just after receiving 12.8 Million in VC, Linkedin’s chief executive, Reid Hoffman, has stepped down from his post and appointed Dan Nye to take the role at one of the key social networking start-ups of the Web 2.0 space. It’s always interesting when one of the founders or early contributors to a popular start-up moves aside to allow the more traditional business management expertise to help the company grow.
VentureBeat reports that move has nothing to do with the financing but more to allow the company to grow.
Hoffman has been a significant angel investor in some of the web’s most prominent start-ups including:

It will be interesting to see where Reid ends up.
