The Web 2.0 Traffic Watch List – Are You on It?

Are you ever curious about how some of the Web 2.0 websites are doing for traffic?

Seth Godin has put together a traffic list of 937 “Web 2.0″ sites based on results from their Alexa rankings.  It’s a good comparison list for some of the top Web 2.0 companies if you need a cheat sheet before a meeting.

The funny thing about Alexa is that it is not very reliable as a real number – I talk with so many C-level executives who take the numbers as gospel.  It’s a bit disturbing when you think about how the numbers they have are actually calculated.  My point is that you need to take the Alexa numbers with a grain of salt…more of a rule of thumb.

Here is the original “Web 2.0 Traffic Watch List” post.

And here are the top-25results that I grabbed from his post.  I am, by the way, a bit disappointed that the king of permission marketing did not include a simple way to embed part of his list.
