In what is starting to feel like a commercial announcement for the latest Wrestlemania, Webinno 13 is upon us. It might have just as much excitement for anyone interested in the latest local web 2.0/mobile trends in the area as well – minus the Hulkster of course.
This event has become the hot ticket for local start-ups, entrepreneurs and job seekers looking to keep up on the latest trends in the area. Event organizer David Beisel (Venrock Partners) has been operating this bi-monthly meet up that brings together a list of early-stage companies for large group demonstrations and several pre-funding outifts for smaller table-tops located around the event.
The early buzz seems to be around the do-it-yourself game company GameBrix (Digital Brix) demo but I am just as interested in learning about medical search engine CurbsideMD (Praxeon) and Beacon Street Girls (B*tween Productions), a web 2.0′ish version of local web 1.0 site iEmily.
If you can make it – be there this MONDAY, MONDAY, MONDAY (I know it sounds more truck rally than WWF but it fits with the theme).
