The Web Innovators Group or Webinno23 technology event is upon us once again. This is arguably one of the premier networking events for anyone interested in new technology or early stage startups. If you have ever dreamed of breaking out from the cube and into the limelight, this is your event.

It was another great night at 18th Web Innovators Group. I have not heard of an actual count but it was easily the largest turnout yet.

Mark your calendars, July is now the web networking month for Boston area. It marks the return of the several premier tech events including schmooze-fest TECH Cocktail Boston 2, PodCamp3 Boston and the uber Boston web 2.0 event – WebInno18.

Had a great time last night at the North Shore Web Geek meeting. I arrived a bit late so I did not get a chance to meet everyone there but I’ll put it on the list for next month if I am not traveling.

It was a great turnout for the PopSignal event last night in Boston. All of the usual suspects were out in force and the registration table claimed they had close to the 600 registered attendees there at the event.

Congratulations to our own HubSpot for pulling down $12M in funding as reported on TechCrunch. The Series B round led by Matrix Partners is in addition to the $5M the company raised last September in a round led by General Catalyst.

For our second 93Startup Profile, we go from a 1 person, self-funded startup to an 80 person well-funded startup out of Littleton. Marathon Technologies is also one of the finalists in this years MITX awards and the first to break the “keep it to just a few sentences” rule.
