<p>My Note: Telephone company AT&amp;T, parent of TV provider U-Verse, launched an online destination Thursday that looks a lot like Hulu. In fact, Hulu &#8212; the joint venture of Disney, Fox and NBC Universal &#8212; provides much of the content to the new venture, dubbed AT&amp;T Entertainment. CBS Interactive and dozens more also provide content. The site, at www.entertainment.att.net, features ad-supported movies and TV shows from ABC, CBS, NBC, Bravo, Oxygen, Syfy, the CW, USA Network and others.</p>
<p>ATT, parent of TV provider U-Verse, has launched an online destination that looks a lot like Hulu.</p>

<p>Facebook just announced that it has released Tornado, the real-time web framework that powers FriendFeed, as open source code. According to Facebook&#8217;s David Recordon, Tornado is one of the core infrastructure pieces that power FriendFeed&#8217;s real-time functionality. The framework, according to Recordon, is similar to other Python frameworks like Google&#8217;s webapp or web.py, but is faster and able to handle more simultaneous traffic than its competit&#8230;</p>
