TECH CocktailSeptember is a big month for Boston Web 2.0 events including the next installment of the popular Webinno series on the 10th. However, the big question for local tech junkies this week is what event to attend this Thursday night?

The second Ignite Boston and the first TECH Cocktail Boston are both scheduled for this Thursday. The O’Reilly Media group is holding Ignite Boston at Hurricane O’Reilly’s starting at 6:00 and TECH Cocktail Boston (a.k.a “PR Agency Schmoozefest 2007″) will start at 6:30 at Tequila Rain. The “sold out” TECH Cocktail Boston is a great new event that was first held in Chicago to help “amplify the technology signal in under-served markets“. Sold out? Could it have something to do with the “free drinks” advertised on the events announcement page?

I have a previous commitment but will still attempt to attend both events that night. Boston is just not that big and a quick cab ride stands between both of them.
