Huge Turnout at Webinno18

It was another great night at 18th Web Innovators Group. I have not heard of an actual count but it was easily the largest turnout yet.
My favorite demo from the main 3 presenters had to be Totspot but Zeer and WebNotes both look like promising startups. Of the side demonstrations, it was great to see former colleague Michal Hlavac from local virtual world CreaturePark and to meet Robert DeFranco from 211me. I also had a chance to meet upcoming blogger Amanda Gravel of SocialHoneycomb - add her RSS feed to your reader.

i can’t get over how out-of-hand that webinno is most of the time. you can barely hear the presenters; 1/2 the crowd just wants to socialize. i wonder if they could split the venue in 1/2 maybe so the networking-only peeps could keep yakking without detracting from the presentations?

After going to the event last night and comparing it with the first ones, webinno has clearly gotten too big and it’s killing the experience, but this is natural and we all have to deal. They should require people to be on the RSVP list to enter.
The level of noise made it very tough to speak with others. I could barely hear the presentations with all the chatter going on.

Nice to see the innovation in the New England area. Totspot is a great concept, the interface is great, wish there was a tighter api integration with YouTube, likely a YouTube issue. - BC

Wish we could have chatted - although it looks like too much chatting goes on during presentations. ;)
