New England on 93South

Twitter

Ah yes, I am afraid I have become one of those blogs that goes blank for awhile and drops out of date.  My post on Webinno 18 was so stunning and hard hitting that I needed to keep it up for 4 months straight!

Exciting.

Where have I been?  It’s this crazy bird blogging thing that keeps me going and seems so much more captivating.  It seems so much easier, and lot more fun at times, to drop one liners on my army of unsuspecting and unwilling tweeps than it is to explore the details of the latest Boston Web 2.0 startup.

After all;  When you Tweet, The world Tweets back.  When you blog…maybe not so much.

The real story is actually quite simple. I’ve got a job.

However, I do miss testing local startups and getting their stories out.  I also have a long list of 93profiles to get posted on the site (sorry to those who I have missed so far).  I just might get this party started again soon.  I would also be open to getting a few other local bloggers to join in on the party.  Any takers?

In the meantime, follow me on Twitter.

Web Innovators Group 18It was another great night at 18th Web Innovators Group. I have not heard of an actual count but it was easily the largest turnout yet.

My favorite demo from the main 3 presenters had to be Totspot but Zeer and WebNotes both look like promising startups. Of the side demonstrations, it was great to see former colleague Michal Hlavac from local virtual world CreaturePark and to meet Robert DeFranco from 211me. I also had a chance to meet upcoming blogger Amanda Gravel of SocialHoneycomb - add her RSS feed to your reader.

Pictures: You can check out all of the pictures on Flickr. If you have pictures of the event, please add them to the Boston Tech Events group that I just started on Flickr.

Social Media: You can follow the event on (Summize) Twitter Search or join the new Webinno room on FriendFeed started by my colleague and FF star Hao.

Presenters: Please check out each of the local startups from the event last night.

The next event will be September 15th!

Mark your calendars, July is now the web networking month for Boston area.  It marks the return of the several premier tech events including schmooze-fest TECH Cocktail Boston 2, PodCamp3 Boston and the uber Boston web 2.0 event - WebInno18.

I will attempt to attend all of these…hope to see you there!

There are actually quite a few events and conferences in the area this month and next month even brings the Mashables event series to Boston…am I not cool because I do not have an event attached to my blog?

DatumOne of the local tech blogs that I have in my RSS reader (Google) is Jay Meattle’s Datum - its a great blog to add to yours. He just announced that he is moving from Compete.com to local start-up Lookery - a social media advertising play.

Good luck Jay - I’ve enjoyed your Datum and Compete.com blog posts.

Jay,  When you got over to Lookery…can you resend my activation code already?
